Abstract Modernist wooden freeform sculpture, on column, 1970s

1,575.00

An amorphous and free form sculpture by an unknown artist. Carved from one piece of natural wood with a sculptural and sensual shape. The thin edges of the wood give a remarkable expression of movement, like rippling of fabric. The wood has a stunning patina with natural cracks and fissures fitting with a vintage item.

The piece is mounted on a solid black wooden base, slightly lifted, adding to its sculptural quality.
Condition: Very good with some expected stable age splits and nicks, presenting exceptionally well.

Marked: unsigned

Provenance: Acquired from the collection of a Belgian Architect
