Jan van Stolk ceramic Bowl, mid-century

A little bowl, made in the sixties by Dutch ceramist Jan van Stolk (1920-1997).
Being born on the Canary Islands and later lived with his parents in Italy, the Netherlands and Greece, Van Stolk brought a certain Mediterranean atmosphere to his work, especially in his earlier works. Later one he was working with engraved decorations, often on a black background. Since the 1960s he also made ceramic sculptures.
