Maarten Baas, early Smoke Cabinet

Important and rare piece of Dutch design of one of the most influential design of our time.

Provenance. From a hairdressing salon in Amsterdam that Maarten Baas decorated in the early period of the Smoke series. (+- in 2002) Most of the interior was auctioned at Pierre Bergé auction house in Brussels (December 16, 2010). Only this piece of furniture was kept by the then owner himself.  In 2014, this shelve was also exhibited at the exhibition “Feeling good” at Galerie Steendrukkerij in Amsterdam.
