A light-brown, vintage Mid-Century modern Swedish Fur, armchair made of hand carved and polished Pinewood, designed by Göran Malmvall and produced by Karl Andersson & Söner, in good condition. The backrest of the single Scandinavian side, end chair is slightly curved with arched arms and four curved wooden feet, detailed with brass nailheads. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950, Huskvarna, Sweden, Scandinavia.

Göran Malmvall was a Swedish self-taught designer, born in 1917, in Sweden and passed away in 2001.

Karl Andersson & Söner was founded in 1898 by the Swedish master cabinet-maker Karl Andersson. He was known for his creativity, elegant, sustainable , long-lasting furniture. Later on, four of his five sons started working in his company, each was allocated his own area. In 1944, they changed the company name to Karl Andersson & Söner.
