Rare African tripod stool, solid wood

950.00

Very rare example of a low stool, used by the semi-nomadic Karayu-people in the North of Ethiopia. This is the most archetypical type of sitting using the natural forms of a branch to create a tripod chair. The chair is polished by long useage, giving it a nice dark patina. Highly decorative object and rare to find.
