Description
Marc Ruygrok (1953) is a grandson of the sculptor Albert Termote (1887-1978). Termote was friends with Vilmos Huszár and Jan Wils of De Stijl movement and encouraged his grandson to take drawing lessons at the age of fourteen. Ruygrok later studied at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam and Ateliers ’63 in Haarlem. Since the eighties, monumental letters and words have characterized his place-specific sculptures.
