Andries Hendrik (Henk) Munnik (Middelburg, July 30, 1912 – The Hague, 1997) was a Dutch painter, draftsman and book binding designer.He worked in The Hague from 1937 to 1997. He studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague and was a student of Cees Bolding, Arend Hendriks and Henk Meyer (1884-1970). Henk Munnik was a versatile artist. He painted figuratively – still lifes, nudes, portraits and village views -, but from the end of the 1960s he also made abstract works. He also produced fabric designs and provided (book) illustrations. In 1937 he designed the cover of the book Met Hr. Ms. De Ruyter to the Dutch East Indies. In his work he is influenced by Dick Ket, Pyke Koch and Georges Braque. In 1960, Munnik was part of the Verve artist group from The Hague and was a member of Pulchri Studio.
