This refined circa-1970s sculpture showcases a dynamic interplay of angular planes and precisely interlocked metal elements, rising from a rectangular wooden base. The composition consists of sharply cut geometric forms—some polished, others left matte—creating a rhythmic vertical structure that changes dramatically as the viewer moves around it. The work reflects the influence of mid-century Constructivism and postwar geometric abstraction, echoing the sculptural languages of artists working with industrial materials during the 1960s–1970s.
The metal elements are cleanly joined, forming a balanced yet tension-filled arrangement, while the warm wooden base anchors the otherwise ascendant form. Measuring 63 × 15 × 9 cm, the piece has an elegant scale: tall enough to function as a focal point in a room, yet compact enough for a shelf, pedestal, or console display.
Condition is very good, with light age-appropriate patina to the metal surfaces and natural wear to the wood, consistent with a 1970s studio object.
Though the artist remains unknown, this sculpture stands out for its material quality, craftsmanship, and clear alignment with the broader trajectory of European geometric sculpture of the period. A compelling and highly decorative abstract object for collectors of 20th-century design and sculpture.
