A striking pair of Con Fiamma obelisks by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini, executed around 1950. Handblown in clear Murano glass with Bianconi's distinctive white a canne flame inclusion rising through each tapering form, the sculptures exemplify the sculptural elegance that defined post-war Venetian glass.

Originally conceived as independent glass objects, these examples were professionally converted into table lamps during the mid-20th century, preserving their sculptural character while giving them a functional architectural presence. Each retains its original linen lampshade, resulting in a refined balance between decorative lighting and collectible Murano glass.

Among the most celebrated designers associated with Venini, Fulvio Bianconi transformed traditional Venetian glassmaking through an innovative combination of abstraction, graphic composition and technical virtuosity. His work occupies an important place in twentieth-century Italian design and is represented in major museum collections worldwide.

Both obelisks are handmade, signed Venini Italia underneath and display the subtle variations inherent to individually crafted glass.
